Leo Kottke's first album "Six and Twelve String Guitar" was the first product of the almost sixty year legacy of American Primitive Guitar. Discovered by John Fahey at a young age, Kottke was playing intricate guitar songs with an intense use of harmonics and precise fingerstyle technique. Fahey immeadiately signed Leo to Takoma records where he produced many of his best albums.
